The 8-Part Marketing Strategy You Can Fit on One Page

What if your entire marketing strategy vision, goals, and high level execution plan fit on one page? No bloated decks. No confusion. Just clarity.

Sounds like a fantasy? It doesn’t have to be. Putting together a marketing strategy and action plan that supports your overall business efforts, is how it’s supposed to be. It can be and should be your reality.

Here’s the 8-part framework that keeps your plan tight, your team aligned, and your results scalable.

The 8 Building Blocks

  1. Strategy
    What’s your core vision?
Example: Build brand authority in the legal industry.

  2. Goal
What measurable result supports that strategy?
Example: Gain 10 new retainer clients in 6 months.

  3. Objectives
What 3 high-level efforts support your goal?
Examples: Improve conversions, boost SEO, run webinars.

  4. Projects/Deliverables (Tactics)
For each objective, identify 3 tactics.
Example: For “run webinars”: plan topics, build reg pages, promote on LinkedIn.

  5. Timeline
Roll out across quarters. Avoid the Q1-crunch trap.

  6. Owner
Assign accountability. One owner per task.

  7. Resources
Tools, talent, tech, and costs—know what’s needed upfront.

  8. Success Metrics
What does winning look like? Be specific and realistic.

Real-World Example: Girls Who Code

When scaling nationally, Girls Who Code kept it simple:

  • Strategy: Expand U.S. presence to close the gender gap in tech

  • Goal: Launch 1,000 clubs in one year

  • Objectives: Partner with schools, raise awareness, boost sponsors

  • Tactics: Regional pop-ups, ambassador program, #HireMe social campaign

  • Success Metrics: Club count, engagement rate, media mentions

Result: A national footprint and global name recognition.

Defining the direction your business is headed and ascribing a goal with objectives, deliverables, resources, accountability, and success metrics gives you the clarity you and your team need to achieve your goals and make your marketing work for you.
